Comment | | Not very busy but extremely noisy. We selected the guest, Brentwood Gold, which came out like a Northern beer but was actually only from Essex. The beer was in good condition but seemed to have a rather herby taste, perhaps caused by the heavy hoping with Cascade.

Comment | | Why does every other female university student think they can sing? This diva was wailing 'Fly Away' and we wished she would. Not a bad selection of beers and in surprisingly good nick for a student lager haven.

Comment | | Last year we called in but were not tempted by the beer on offer. This year they had both Tribute and a Jennings guest so we gave it a try. Rather glad we did as the old 'Three Tuns' was almost back to being a proper pub after a time spent as a pseudo restaurant.

Comment | | The beer was a little disappointing last year so we were rather pleased to be served up a very well kept Fuller's Front Row. The reason became clear when a beer list from their recent festival was requested - the new tenants turned out to be Andy and Paulina who had managed The Star in Godalming for a number of years. The festival list was short but interesting and we promised to go to Andy's next one, probably February 2012.

Comment | | Manager informed us they had left the Nicholson's chain last October and formed their own pub company - Stonegate. This gave them more flexibility with beer choice and he was aiming to serve two local beers, three from Nationals and a guest. One local he was hoping to get in was Surrey Hills Shere Drop. While we wait for the Drop we just had Mandy Carpel Tunnel to entertain us. That and an excellent Doom Bar. The beer prices were very good. - must have been PV's round
