| After drying our bench and buying the beer we waited for ROC to turn up with the glasses. This gave KOC time to tell us about the eclipse of the moon currently taking place - was that it over there, no just ROC's bum on display as he arrived on his bike. Given we were at the brewery and were consuming the beer shortly after dispense the HBB lacked conditioning. The HOP was better. PV had decided against buying the OTT or Wobble. | ||

| RN turned up a bit red faced after his race from home. Due to the recent sad loss of the landlord, the barman, Hairy Face, told us there were no plans to hold a beer festival this year. The talk centered on James May Toy Story and the successful running of toy trains between Barnstable and Bideford: resulted in a 2-1 win over the Germans. Sad or what. Anyway, back to the beer. The disappointment over the Ringwood Boondoggle having run out was soon forgotten as the replacement beer - Exmoor Gold - is one of our favourites. FN tried the ESB on his own. | ||

| Our love affair with this pub is over. The Pride may have been from a fresh barrel (barmaid thought it was a bit fluffy!) but it did not live up to ROC's requirements even after the first couple of pints out were changed. The Pale was sour and rejected. Overall very disappointing. | ||
