| The outside diners are well catered for here with plenty of cover from the British weather - awnings, massive umbrellas and even a large three sided shed. The real ale drinkers were catered for with five beers to choose from - just a pity two were from GK. The talk was about ageing and ailments. | ||

| The landlord had changed since our last visit. Bruce, who also has The Railway at Frimley and Barley Mow at Oakley had taken over some eight months ago and was keen to promote real ale in his pubs where demand warrants it. The barmaid wasn't Kylie, but Nicky did model the cut off jeans rather well. | ||

| Although it was quiz night the pub was not as busy as on previous visits. The Black Sheep smelt sour and was handed back. Should have never been served but then what do twenty something serving girls know about real ale? | ||

| The Cottage Sunbeam Tiger was on promotion and PV fell for the old trick again. It was totally undrinkable but PV couldn't be bothered to give it back. Overall the beers were very disappointing and the standard would surely improve if Tim cut back on the number on offer. | ||

| Quiet night at the GG but even so our normal table was booked and we had to camp out on the 'other side'. Colm turned up with his mates after an evening bowling. FN's story this week was about his lawn coming from the West End Centre after it had been used in a Westfest - admission included free grass! | ||
