Alton, GU34 2DA
Departing from tradition, the festival was held some weeks after the August
Bank holiday. Sticking to tradition, the beer list was short and......not
very interesting.
Still it did provide an afternoon out in Alton and the chance to hear Blue
Eyed Scout doing a sound check in preparation for the evening set – they
sounded good and it was just a shame we only caught a couple of numbers.
Jem and Satan were there with a few of their mates and of course a few of
the GU34 were about.
There were a couple of nice beers available - the Pheasantry was the 2015
CBofB so you would expect it to be nice and the Proper Job is always good.
But perhaps the best beer was the Citra Sonic. So it was no surprise that,
with such a small list and a Triple fff pub a short distance away, Mengo
soon headed off for the Railway Arms.
