| No PV, some sorry old excuse; memoirs, watching MU, with the Morris Men at the Garden Gate, etc. As always a busy pub and yes MU on the box. One draft on offer good old Best. Normal barracking as the boys in the high-viz gear left. | ||

| MU and a ladies dart match had them all out tonight but room enough at the other side of the bar. The Landlord nailed us; he remembered us from last year and puts our visits up there with Cask Marque and the CAMRA boys. He does look after his beer and spent a while telling us how he did it all very good. We had another beer as they were on top form and for less than £3.00 and watched MU sink out of the cup. | ||

| Football over but still a few drinking. They could only managed three pints of Doombar and reached the end of the barrel, two of them went back but MG’s seemed ok. My TEA must have been the first one of the day as it seemed to be flat the next two had good head. Maybe a pump to far and all at £3.20 a pint I can see why. The Landlord put on a new barrel of Doombar and gave us a taster, a great deal better and we had a second round of these. | ||
