| Even though there was no football to occupy the large screen TV, the full car park attested to this pubs popularity. Almost as exciting as last weeks map choice was the discussion on the variety of routes used to get to Cove. RN called in for a soft drink on his way home from work. | ||

| FN’s choice of ESB was undrinkable but readily changed by the barman for a different beer. The willingness may have been because the barman recognized FN as an old neighbour and school friend. It was just a shame FN could not remember his name. The barmaid had all the attributes, including a nice line in behind the bar dance moves. | ||

| In previous years our runners had reported back there was no real ale. This year we nearly did not even bother enquiring. This would have been a mistake as the new landlady, Misha, has brought back some real. No only that, it was an unusual Caledonian beer Surf Sup. On the KOC pub meter it was ranked quite busy, no doubt helped by the ladies darts match which was taking place. | ||

| Mick from B&T would have been disappointed at the quality of the Dragon Slayer. The Welton’s displayed that famous Horsham taste and was exchanged. PV was served in a glass with no mark. KOC advanced his opinion he had picked all the best beers of the evening, apart from the very best one that is. And the view from some seats was exceptionally enjoyable. | ||
