| The pub was quite busy. It even had some female customers, one of whom offered to rub our helmets. To avoid further comments getting through to us, the landlord turned up the music VERY LOUD. It was enough to send us on our way. Well that and the Olde Trip. | ||

| Of course footy on the telly but no music. The Germans scored a good goal but Man U came back with on of their lucky ones. Then Shevchenko came in and he was in his new teams colours. Enough about the beautiful game, what about the beer? Well once it had warmed up it was pretty good. | ||

| Well the first Alton’s Pride delivered was very poor and returned. A new barrel was put on but even then the beer was not up to ROC’s demanding standards. PV thought both the Pressed Rat and Moondance were a little tired but everyone enjoyed the guest beer, Hammerpot Martlet especially TM who bought the round. It was only £2.00 a pint. | ||
