Alton Winter Beer Festival - 17th February 2007

Comment

A bright sunny day and with a temperature of 12 degrees, just the
sort of weather you would want for our first festival of 2007. Only
problem was the misdirection on the website giving a start time of
noon instead of the actual 11.00.
A very good list of beers, whose enjoyment was only temporarily held
up by the fire alarm. This turned out to be a false alarm. However,
no drinking time was lost as the organisers added a half hour at the
end to make up.
Mike from B&T was in fine form and generously donated his unused
tickets when his party decided to leave when we had to leave the
building for the fire alarm.

Paul V and Tel then called at The Kings Head and The Eight Bells
some story about a survey that had to be done) before meeting up
gain with the rest at The Railway Arms. A missed train delayed the
diehards’ eventual arrival at The Garden Gate.
