Comment

All the usual suspects turned up on this glorious summer day.
The beer talk of the festival was the yeast infection picked up by a
number of brewers, including Triple fff, from a batch obtained from
Canada. Although not caused by this particular strain, the Bowman’s
Quiver was certainly infected with something and quickly exchanged.
As has come to be expected, Mick from B&T had played around a bit
with the beers he supplied. He did tell PV what the changes were but
after a few beers there was no chance of remembering.
With Alan’s 40th Birthday Party on at the Garden Gate, it was meant
to be a quick getaway back to Aldershot but as usual everyone ended
up at The Railway Arms for a couple before catching the train.

This is a selection of the beers available (as tried by PV).

Brewery Beer %
Dark Star Sunburst 4.8
Flowerpots Brewery Elder 3.8
Flowerpots Brewery Wheatsheaf Best 4.2
Dorset DBC Durdle Door 5.0
Dorset DBC Weymouth Best Bitter 3.9
Hogs Back Brooklands Gold Star 4.5
B&T Gold Leaf 4.4
B&T Born Free 4.0
Bowman Ales Quiver 4.5
Wolf Brewery Golden Jackal (Coyote) 3.7
Wolf Brewery Straw Dogs 4.5
Sharps Atlantic IPA 4.2
Highwood Tom Wood Best Bitter 3.5
Bushy’s Ruby Mild 3.5

(I can now understand why PV did not fancy a pint in The Railway Arms!)
