CROSSWAYS BEER FESTIVAL - 22nd July 2007 - Churt - SU 854 382

Comment

Bus travel again proved the winner with even Ray this year enjoying
the delights of the number 19 to Hindhead. This was good thinking as
it rained on and off all afternoon and it would not have been very
pleasant riding.
The pub was already busy on arrival at 2.00 am with a good contingent
of Surrey/Hants Borders CAMRA members enjoying Ian Johnson’s birthday
cake. We managed to get a table and our only problems from then on
were choosing the next beers to try from the forty available and
judging the next round for the arrival of Mike.

Brewery Beer %
Atlas Latitude 3.6
Coach House Honey Pot Bitter 3.8
Church End Goats Milk 3.8
Beartown Ginger Bear 4.0
Church End Hop Gun 4.1
Harviestoun Liberty 4.1
Frog Island Shoe Maker 4.2
Hop Back Spring Zing 4.2
Skinners Keel Over 4.2
Itchen Valley One Hop 4.2
Downton Happy Hopi 4.3
Bridge of Allan Caber Tosser 4.5
Palmers Dorset Gold 4.5

Dent Kamikaze 5.0

Postscript

Space the final frontier or as they say in Churt:

A new moon (Saturn) named Frank.

It must have made Ians birthday to have the Mengo Ensemble singing
happy birthday at the bus stop!
