A bonus survey courtesy of Quentin’s 50th. Birthday Party. A good few
Surrey/Hants Borders members turned up to celebrate and enjoy the
West Berkshire Maggs Mild and Dark Star Hophead specifically
requested by our host. Both were on top form and well enjoyed, as was
the buffet. KOC turned up in the hairdressers mobile for a swift one.
When we left, PV found he had yet another puncture!

Comment
As we had to go past on the way home, it would have been churlish not
to have called in and seen if the beer was as good as we had
remembered. The worry was their proud boost that the London Pride
is ‘cellar chilled’, which might indicate they use some sort of
refrigeration on it. Fortunately, this did not seem to apply to the
guest beers on, which were at the right temperature and very well
received. Very good prices as well.
