Comment

Although Kev is no longer running a coach trip, it was good to see a
number of Parcel Force employees still enjoy coming to the GBBF.
Mengo, however, were rather light on the ground this year with only
three travelling up on the 11.04. Ron arrived latter.
Either the GBBF organising committee had ordered more beer or fewer
punters had come through the doors but, whatever the reason, this
year there seemed to be much more British beer still available. If
one hoped this meant there would be less crowding around the foreign
beer bar you would be disappointed. The German beers were proving to
be very popular; Olaf reported demand for had been high all week and
he had sold out of some of the beers. However, he was still managing
to keep 15 draughts on sale and, as hoped, many were different to the
beers available on Tuesday. Particularly enjoyable was the Tegernsee
1806 Max I Josef. So much so, Paul V had to go back for another while
Paul C seemed to spend most of the afternoon drinking it.
Most of us had had enough by 4.00 pm and made our way home, leaving
Kev to carry the flag with his Parcel Force colleagues.
