The pub seemed unusually busy on this Wednesday evening visit. The
choice of beers available was weighted on the strong side and, as it
is really not advisable to have too many strong ones when cycling, we
were going to leave after just one. That was until the barmaid
offered to fetch some Ascot Ales Posh Pooch direct from the cellar.
We did not refuse and enjoyed the beers that were so lovingly carried
to us clutched to the bosom………O, enough.

Ascot Ales Posh Pooch 4.2 £2.70 3.5 Getting better with each brew

A Fuller’s tie and PV was looking to get the last two stamps needed
to complete his London Pride rugby shirt collector card only to find
the new landlord had not even heard of the promotion, let alone have
the cards or stamp cancel. Alan took over the pub on 1st. August and
will soon be starting on a general ‘tart up’. At the moment, however,
he is just concentrating on serving a good pint of beer and both the
Chiswick and London Pride did him proud.

Brewer Beer % Price Mark	Comment
Fuller’s Chiswick 3.5 £2.60 3.5
Fuller’s London Pride 4.1 £2.80 3.5

The new licensee is giving real ale a go in this previously keg only
pub. It soon became clear why ROC was so keen to get the round in;
all real ales were only £2.00 a pint! The Timothy Taylor Landlord had
sold out but both the remaining two available, Wadwoth 6X and Hall &
Woodhouse Tanglefoot were very good. If you’re short, watch out for
the aboriginal figures, the male could poke your eye out.

Brewer Beer % Price Mark Comment
Wadworth 6X 4.3 £2.00 3
Hall & Woodhouse Tanglefoot 4.9 £2.00 3.5 Very good
