Prince of Wales Beer Festival - 13th/14th October 2007

Travellers - 13th

ROC by bike, PV and MV driving

Comment

The theme of this year’s festival was ‘Go West’ with the beers
sourced from the West Country and Wales. Mengo followed suite with
just a couple of stalwarts attending on the Saturday and those who
did not up too much sampling. A pity really as there was quite a good
selection of unusual beers to try.

Brewery Beer %
Box Steam Tunnel Vision 4.2
Bristol Beer Factory Number 7 4.2
Ffos y Ffin Cwrw Caredig 3.9
Jollyboat Freebooter 4.0

Travellets - 14th

FN with guests, PV and MV driving

Comments

With nothing else to do PV and MV returned the next day, only to find
FN and guests already enjoying what was left of the beers after the
hammering they took on the Saturday; from first the football crowd
England beat Estonia 3-0) and then the rugby boys (England beat
France 14-9 in the semi final of the World Cup).
There was a bonus of live music from Kindred Spirits, a female duo on
guitar and sax/flute/whistle. Very enjoyable they were too.

Brewery Beer %
Branscombe Vale BVB 4.6
Ffos y Ffin Cothi Gold 4.1
Palmer Dorset Gold 4.5
Taunton Ales Bitter 3.9
Taunton Ales Castle 4.3
Wooden Hand Pirate’s Gold 4.0
