Comment

We had left ordering the tickets too late to get any from the Leisure
Centre, but did feel sure we would be able to pick up a few from the
queue if we got there soon enough. This meant an early start for Kev,
Paul C and Terry, who went in search of redemption. The plan went
well and as Paul V and Ray were on the later train to Woking, Kev
telephoned to say he had already secured the six tickets needed. Ron
came along later.
The festival, now in its 14th year, was much the same as previously,
with a good selection of new brewers among the already known. While
the rest of us sought out some of the previously untried British
beers available, Paul C’s mission plan was of the foreign variety and
he managed to drink all of the St. Georgen Buttenheim and Früh Kölsch
before Ray and Paul even got a sniff.

Brewery Beer %
Bass Museum Brewery Tap 4.5
BHC Sun Dial 4.7

Boggart Hole Clough Sun Dial 4.7
Brown Cow Blond Moment 4.2
Derby Business as Usual 4.4
Flowerpots Goodens Gold 4.7
Hobson’s Mild 3.2
Isle of Purbeck Solar Power 4.3
Loddon Downland 4.0
Matthews Brass Knocker 3.8
Potbelly Crazy Days 5.0
Traditional Scottish Ales Aleoween 4.0
Tryst Carronade IPA 4.2
Wayland Blond Belle 4.3
White Shield Courage Directors 4.8

With their preferred German beers already gone this left Paul V and
Ray with the Edelweiss Weizen Hefetrüb to finish with. Very nice it
was too.
